Dear Editor,
Young people in this country shouldn’t go on living in a nation that still claims it’s the wealthiest country in the world, while the young get less and less, without rebelling. They can’t afford homes, can’t afford rent, and are either living with their parents or eight or ten of them in a rental unit.
The young should realize that wages have been stagnant since the mid-1970s. In the 1980’s, President Reagan began the destruction of the unions.
The income inequality is unbelievable in this wealthy country. Remember a billion is a thousand million. We all know greed is endless for some who can never have enough, they just take and take. It is time that the young people in this country stop letting these old, fat, ugly, wealthy white men keep you in a state like slavery. They must stop being Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Maga and liberals, join together and rebel and be AMERICANS.
We baby boomers, except those who died in the Vietnam war, were the privileged generation. We protested in the sixties and made a lot of noise, but look at the mess we are in now.
Historically, rebellions are created and won by young people who joined together and overthrew the tyrants who kept them in a state of hopelessness. Today, young people must win back the right to self-govern from the wealthy class that runs and controls the economy and the government. They are laughing at us in their yachts and mansions. Their next step to completely control us is to start a war.

I feel great pity for you, Mr. Miller, while your grasp of reality is so tenuous as to cause you to levy such a pathetic barrage of horrible charges against so many disparate targets.
* You state “young people shouldn’t go on living”, etc., etc. Do you mean they should all cease breathing, or should they all self-deport?
* Define young people. 15- 20? 20- 30? 30- 40?
* Show me 8 -10 “healthy, working age young people” forced to share living quarters.
*Wages certainly have not been stagnant for the last half century! Go to your local library for proof.
* Income equality? You fell completely off the rails on this one. Your one statement insults almost everyone. Ageism? Fat shaming? Ugly? insulting the non-beautiful? Anti-Wealth? Do you know how hard they had to work to be rich? White.? Racist? Do you suppose they had a choice?. Men..Sexist?, meaning all men, including yourself? Slavery-like -state,…yet anther blanket accusation?
* I, along with a great number of other good people, lived through the hideous Viet Nam war. Did you feel any compassion or remorse while the best of our young men and women were giving their very lives to protect your “right” to enjoy protesting and making noise?
*In reference to rebellion, you insist, “Today, young people must win back the right to self-govern”. Have you any real idea what that means? You are inciting young, uncertain people to commit armed resistance against the government of our country and to defy any authority. In doing this, you are condemning huge numbers of young people to an early death.
I will,grant you this…you seem sincere , if totally uninformed. I suggest you spend a few hundred hours committed to serious study and educate yourself.
I am embarrassed for you.
