Public Open House for RV Park at Fairgrounds January 31

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ January 23, 2024) –Mohave County Parks is working with Terracon,  a planning and design firm and its team of consultants to develop a concept for the proposed Sawmill OHV(off highway vehicle) staging area and RV park. This project will nearly double the number of available RV sites available at Hualapai Mountain Park, as well as, develop a new large OHV staging area for group rides.

The scope of this undertaking also includes rehabilitating and reconnecting old jeep roads to establish a new trail connecting OHV routes on the east side of the range with routes on the west side of the range. All of this is made possible through a successful Arizona State Parks OHV grant application.

The public is invited to come review the 60% design progress, learn more about the project, and offer specific comments on the proposal.  This will take place at the Mohave County Fairgrounds, Building B on Wednesday, January 31 from 6pm-7pm/

Mohave County Parks Administrator Jeremy Palmer says, “we are really excited about this project and all that it will do for the RV and OHV visitors at Hualapai Mtn Park. We look forward to not only sharing it with the public, but also hearing their comments. It is the best opportunity to fine tune the plan and deliver a great new addition to Hualapai Mountain Park.”
