Book banning should not happen in Mohave County
Dear Editor,
I am writing regarding the recent actions of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors, specifically Supervisor Ron Gould’s effort to have the board review and determine which donated books are “appropriate” for our county libraries.
Mohave County lawyers and judges retake oath on Rule of Law Day
Many lawyers and judges throughout Mohave County gathered in Kingman on Thursday, February 12, to honor Rule of Law Day by retaking their oaths to uphold the law. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and Kingman Police Department provided personnel for the Color Guard and the Havasu-based Give Back Glee Club sang the national anthem to open the event.
‘Sound of Love’ will be heard March 28
KINGMAN – Kingman Concert Band will present “The Sound of Love” concert on Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m.
BHC officer-involved-shooting under investigation
The Lake Havasu City Police Department is conducting an independent investigation of an officer-involved shooting in Bullhead City. The incident occurred at about 11:23 p.m. on Feb. 14.
Toastmasters Club will return to in-person meetings this March
For the past 10 years, the London Bridge Toastmasters is still a prominent Lake Havasu nonprofit.
