Dear Editor,
River Cities United Way thanks you for your participation in the Kingman Day of Caring on April 4. A total of 42 volunteers arrived in the early morning hours to tackle one of the 12 community cleanup zones. Over the course of three hours, each team worked diligently, collecting 67 bags of trash in helping to improve the spaces we share every day. This also includes an additional nine tons of trash collected at the container drop sites placed throughout the city with the support of Kingman Solid Waste Department and the Clean City Commission.
The UniSource team kicked off Day of Caring a few days prior, allowing even more volunteers the opportunity to get involved in this community effort. Every individual and team completed their zones with compassion and dedication, helping keep our community a place we can all be proud of.
Thank you to our sponsors for making the event possible through advertising support, supply donations, food and beverage contributions, and assistance with event setup and tear-down.
Our “volunteams” included groups from the City of Kingman, Mohave County Community Service Department, Nucor, Soroptimist, Kingman Main Street, Cub Scouts Troop 401, VFW, Dutch Bros, Kingman Downtown Merchants Association and many generous individuals.
Once again, we sincerely thank you for participating in the Spring Day of Caring 2026.
Stay tuned we are planning our next Day of Caring for September 2026. To see pictures from the Spring Day of Caring and pre-register for the Fall.
