Fireman takes theft deal

A firefighter accused of stealing roughly $24,000 from the rural Mohave County fire district that formerly employed him pleaded guilty to theft Wednesday. A fraud charge is dismissed through the agreement entered for Phillip Picard, 32. Terms of the misdemeanor conviction deal protect Picard from prison, unless he violates supervised probation.  Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert can impose up to a 30-day county jail term at a Nov. 16 sentencing hearing. MCC opens in-person student services, enrollment window for spring semester also now open

MOHAVE COUNTY – For the first time since last March, many Mohave Community College Student Services Division employees came back to campus this week, as the college eased pandemic restrictions on October 19. KINGMAN – While the City of Kingman has lifted its mask mandate, Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) announced today that it will continue to require masks in all KRMC facilities. All employees, patients, and visitors must wear a mask in the hospital or in any KRMC medical clinic or business office.
