Officer and vehicles struck in wild chase

KINGMAN – A vehicle struck a law enforcement officer and two patrol vehicles were struck but no injuries were reported during a wild chase that ended in Kingman Monday afternoon. Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded at 1:39 p.m. to conduct a welfare check after a citizen reported spotting a male in a vehicle parked two days off Interstate 40, about 27 miles west of Kingman. “The reporting party advised she had observed several empty prescription bottles inside the car and the male subject was hiding under a blanket,” said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. She said the subject later identified…

Lingenfelter’s proposed hiring at an annual salary of $102,000 will be considered during the Board of Supervisors meeting next Monday. Don’t forget to vote if eligible!

I’d like to remind Mohave County voters that only properly registered Democratic Party members are eligible to participate in Arizona’s March 17 Presidential Preference Election (PPE). The purpose is to determine which of the 18 Democratic Presidential candidates that Arizona will be nominating for the National Democratic Party. The Arizona Republican Party previously determined that President Donald Trump will be Arizona’s nominee for the GOP National Party. Republicans, Independents and anyone not registered as a Democrat are ineligible to participate in the PPE. Anyone uncertain of their voter registration status can gain clarification by visiting the Mohave County Website (www.mohavecounty.us). …

Untold truths – What Democrats know, but won’t say

Dear Editor, In the wake of Super Tuesday, five important truths ring clear. Democrats and the media will not discuss them, but here they are. On the numbers, young turnout (ages 18 to 29) was down 16 percent from 2016, for example, in New Hampshire – which was less than 2012 and 2008. The number is emblematic. Three…
