BHC candidates facing court challenges

BULLHEAD CITY – Four Bullhead City council hopefuls are facing candidacy challenges in Mohave County Superior Court. Separate legal actions have been submitted that allege they failed to collect enough valid signatures on nominating petitions to qualify for the August-November election cycle.   Those facing candidacy challenge include re-election seeking incumbents Mark Clark, Tami Ring and Kathy Bruck. Prospective candidate Waheed Zehri is also facing challenge.   The lawsuits are being scheduled for hearings next week before Judge Lee Jantzen.

BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City has canceled the last Farmer’s Market of the season scheduled for Saturday, May 2. “It is in the best interest of the community to cancel the last Farmer’s Market of the year due to COVID-19,” City Manager Toby Cotter said. “We had approximately 5,000 people at the February event. Mohave County ends Tuesday with 64 virus cases MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified Tuesday evening, April 21, of a positive COVID-19 case in the Lake Havasu City service area.
