Using facemasks in Kingman Municipal Court

KINGMAN – In early May, Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert Brutinel issued Administrative Order 2020-75, updated and replaced by Administrative Order 2020-79, providing Arizona’s courts and the public with direction on returning to in-court operations after limited operations in response to COVID-19. The Order includes direction for in-person proceedings, empaneling juries, limiting access to courthouses and courtrooms, implementing social distancing and using technology to continue court operations. Similar restrictions are currently in place in the Kingman Municipal Court. Court order issued mandating face coverings in court facilities

MOHAVE COUNTY – Face coverings will become commonplace in area court facilities going forward indefinitely to prevent spread of COVID-19. That’s one of many provisions being implemented under a new Administrative Order (AO) issued by Presiding Mohave County Superior Court Judge Charles Gurtler that takes effect on June 1. “This Administrative Order provides additional specifics with respect to the transition to resumption of various court operations in such a manner that further prioritizes the safety of the public, judge and employees of the judiciary,” Gurtler’s order said. First positive COVID-19 case at Mohave County Jail

KINGMAN – An inmate of the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility tested positive on Tuesday for COVID-19. The inmate, currently housed in medical isolation at the jail, has shown no signs or symptoms of the virus and will continue to be monitored and provided treatment as may be necessary.
