Beem charged in assault, weapons offense

MOHAVE VALLEY – A Mohave Valley man who allegedly threatened and assaulted a Fort Mohave woman was arrested last Sunday. Mohave County sheriff’s deputies first responded at 7:15 a.m. to a report of a disturbance at a home in the 1900 block of La Riata Road. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the alleged victim told arriving deputies that Keith Beem, 47, had broken into the residence and assaulted her before fleeing in a Nissan Sentra. “The victim further advised that on a previous day, Beem had slashed her tires, brandished a firearm and made threats directed toward her,” Mortensen said….

COVID-19 update: 87 new cases, one death

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Tuesday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 87 new COVID-19 confirmed cases. Fifty-six of the new cases are in the Bullhead City service area. Twenty-five cases are in the Lake Havasu City service area.  There are four in the Kingman service area and two in the North County service area. The one new death is a 90+ person in the Lake Havasu City area, a previously reported positive case. Of the 56 cases in the Bullhead City area, 31 remain under investigation. KINGMAN –  There has been a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases throughout the State of Arizona and within Mohave County that increases risk to the well-being of citizens and poses potential strains on the healthcare facilities and workers in the City of Kingman. Bullhead City to require masks at business locations/other closures announced

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Mayor Tom Brady issued a proclamation yesterday requiring face coverings at business locations open to the public. Anyone entering a Bullhead City business must wear a cloth covering over their face and nose effective 1 a.m. on July 1. All Bullhead City businesses are required to enforce the face covering requirement. City staff will educate the public and businesses as needed.
