Yearning for the good ol’ days

Every now and then, I drift in my mind back to when I was a kid. I remember when we had penny candies, hamburgers for a quarter and sodas for a dime. Boy have times changed.

No longer do the prices we had growing up reflect how the American lifestyle existed. It’s a shame that the kids today won’t remember their good ol’ days. Their memories will not show how America once had the guts to stand against the bad guy.

Remember superman? Babe Ruth and baseball? Remember how families were united and had pride in the workforce, military and the American way of life? The good outweighed the bad, right?

No, their memories will be of those who destroyed the family unit. How now the new normal is to see what you can destroy in our history and wear a mask. Our leaders always fighting for control and finger pointing and name calling. No, they will have no sense of pride and they will remember how our police departments are the bad guys.

No military, no one to protect the American way. No trust in our systems and no justice for the innocent. Such a shame that our history now will be the color of your skin and how to destroy the American way of life. Where single family homes and depending on handouts will justify the new normal.

Yes, I wonder back in my mind the simplicity of the American way and the pride we had. Where we celebrated America on the 4th of July. Those of us who remember how America used to be can bring back the good times by standing against those who are willing to destroy her. To remind Americans that we are not a lost cause and to bring back America’s pride.

Don’t fall for smoke and mirrors. Study our history and exercise your right to vote. It’s so important. Our future is at stake. Those who want to erase America are bent on getting control. Choose those who will have America’s best interest at heart. Not hairbrained ideas and socialist thinking, which eventually will lead to self-destruction. Yes, every now and then my mind goes back to the good ol’ days.

Remember, In God We Trust.
