LAKE HAVASU CITY – First Baptist Church Pastor Luis Hernandez of Lake Havasu City has been named the 2020 First Things First La Paz/Mohave Region Champion for Young Children. The award is given to local champions who actively volunteer their time to raise public awareness of the importance of early childhood development and health. COVID-19 update: 12 new cases, one death

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Sunday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 12 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. There was also one death from a previously reported case. It is a 70-79 year age range person in the Kingman service area. Of the 12 new cases, nine are in the Bullhead City service area. There are two cases in the Lake Havasu City area. All 12 cases remain under investigation. Of the 9 Bullhead City area cases, three are 20-29; two are 30-39; three are 50-59; one is 60-69. Dylan File, 24, and Tarik Skubal, 23, are assigned to taxi squads and both could see their major league baseball debuts as MLB begins a COVID-19, abbreviated 60-game season on Thursday.
