Dear Editor, On September 16, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors signed a Proclamation designating October Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This month is designated to bring awareness to communities of this nationwide epidemic. The goal is to educate, create conversations and create culture changes within the community. KPD receives water donation

KINGMAN – On Thursday, Sept. 26, associates from the Kingman Staples store delivered 52 cases of bottled water to the Kingman Police Department (KPD). In July Staples hosted a block party and raised funds through donations that were used to purchase and provide water to KPD. The water will be used to support department personnel during community events and extended police operations. BLM lifts fire restrictions for Colorado River District

MOHAVE COUNTY – Effective Friday, Sept. 27, at 6 a.m., the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will lift all fire restrictions on public lands administered by the Colorado River District, which includes Lake Havasu, Kingman and Yuma Field Offices. Due to widespread precipitation causing a rise in fuel moisture, it has been determined that the likelihood of wildfire has lessened to the degree that the restrictions can be rescinded.
