State treasurer to speak at Women’s Club meeting

KINGMAN – Kingman Republican Women will host Arizona State Treasurer Honorable Kimberly Yee at their September 10 monthly general meeting held at the DamBar & Steakhouse, 1960 E. Andy Devine Ave. The program starts promptly at noon and should be an event no one should miss. All interested individuals who wish to learn what is happening at the Treasurer’s office and how tax dollars are being spent are encouraged to attend this very informative meeting. Lunch may be purchased before and during the program. There is a $3 meeting fee at the door for attendees.

BLM extends fire restrictions due to dry conditions

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Fire restrictions, implemented in June, will remain in effect due to extremely dry conditions on Bureau of Land Management lands within the Colorado River District (CRD). The district’s 5.4 million acres of public lands in western Arizona extend from southern Mohave County, along the Colorado River, through La Paz and Yuma Counties and include the management of a small strip of land in southeastern California.
