Upcoming 18th annual Health and Wellness Fair in Havasu attracts nearly 50 vendors

LAKE HAVASU — If you’re unable to make it to this weekend’s back-to-school fair, there’s still another one happening next week hosted by Havasu Community Health Foundation.  The health nonprofit continues to keep up with their commitment to promote valuable health care information that is beneficial to anyone that has an interest.

The yearly Health and Wellness Fair consists of almost fifty vendors all associated with physical wellness. There will be vendors to visit offering help with memory, hearing, dental examinations, tests for skin cancer, influenza vaccinations and plenty more.

Aside from the various insights available for one’s well-being at the occasion, the foundation will give recognition to the youths of our community by preparing them to head back to school. Along with their numerous partners, the wellness fair will also have free immunizations, sports physicals, developmental screenings, vision tests, haircuts, and of course, school supplies.

There will also be many entertaining aspects for the returning students to enjoy like the dogs by Pet Partners, Havasu police department’s Bearcat. Scouts from boys and girls as well as sea scouts, will be there and pretty much something for everyone. Free breakfast will also be provided as well.

Havasu Community Health Foundation’s 18th Annual Health and Wellness Fair will be on Saturday July 18th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. However, the fun won’t end, as there will be free swimming in the pool from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This season’s health and school related event will take place at the Aquatic Center.  One of the foundation’s missions is to promote early detection in efforts to save lives and prevent chronic diseases.  The healthcare nonprofit is also dedicated to advocate and support the health and vitality of tomorrow’s leaders, and that would be today’s children.
