Temporary lane restrictions on Santa Rosa Drive

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is advising residents of temporary lane restrictions on Santa Rosa Drive as work continues on the Santa Rosa Transmission Main Project.

Beginning Monday, January 5, 2026, at 6:00 a.m., one eastbound lane on Santa Rosa Drive will be closed to complete the final tie-in work for the project.

From Tuesday, January 6, through Thursday, January 8, one lane in each direction will be closed to accommodate median construction activities.

Trench paving on Santa Rosa Drive is anticipated to occur during the week of January 12; the exact date will be announced once confirmed.  During this time, traffic control will be managed using certified flaggers to ensure the safety of motorists and work crews.

While access to homes and businesses will be maintained, there may be intermittent disruptions. The contractor will provide assistance with driveway access and notify affected properties in advance as the project progresses.

This temporary closure is the final phase for installing the new Santa Rosa Transmission Main water line.  This vital infrastructure project is designed to enhance the city’s water delivery system by optimizing pump operations, removing pressure-reducing valves, and creating a clear separation between the Main Tank and Rattlesnake water zones. These improvements will significantly increase water system reliability and efficiency for Kingman residents.

There is an information hotline in place for any additional questions, 928-233-8790 or info@yourprojectmo.com

The City appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation as we work to upgrade essential infrastructure in our community.

Residents should expect to see construction crews, heavy equipment, and trucks in the area during work hours. Activities will include asphalt removal, trench excavation, pipe installation, and road restoration. The City urges drivers and pedestrians to use caution and help ensure a safe environment for workers and the traveling public.  Drivers are encouraged to allow additional travel time, follow posted signage, and use alternate routes when possible.
