KINGMAN – The Board of Directors of the HDOMC (Hospital District Number One of Mohave County) on August 29, approved an IGA (Intergovernmental Agreement) with KRMC (Kingman Regional Medical Center) to provide matching funds of $2.3 million for an AHCCCS (Arizona Health Cost Containment System) program, APSI (Access to Professional Services Initiative).
According the AHCCCS website, this program provides “enhanced support to certain professionals,” and aims to “preserve and enhance access to these professionals
MEADVIEW – The NPS (National Park Service) on Friday, September 6th met with area volunteers at the Meadview community center and provided a recap of the busy summer season. Meadview is well-known for its high rate of volunteerism and community pride.
Additionally, there was a short training session for volunteers after the meeting at the historic Meadview Ranger Station regarding proper methods for pruning native vegetation in the LMNRA (Lake Mead National Recreation Area.).
DOLAN SPRINGS – Mohave County Development Services staff on Monday, August 20, held a workshop on the General Plan for Dolan Springs, Meadview and White Hills. The workshop, which attracted about 35 participants, was for the purpose of getting public input on the zoning for eight sub-areas as well as the overall county areas. County sub-areas are the Arizona Strip, White Hills/Dolan Springs/Meadview, East Central, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City, Golden Valley, Kingman Area, and Southeast which includes Yucca.
