BULLHEAD CITY — Police investigation has led to the identification of the suspects in a February 23 stabbing in Bullhead City. A 39-year-old Bullhead City man suffered wounds to his neck and torso when attacked during an argument outside a gas station.
The victim was flown to Las Vegas and released following treatment for multiple stab wounds.
The Bullhead City police department posted video surveillance images of the suspects who were identified as Joanna Martinez, 28, Bullhead City, and her 16-year-old nephew, according to Emily Fromelt, public information officer for the agency.
Fromelt said Martinez was pulled over at Trane Road and Zircon Avenue on May 22. She was reportedly arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in Bullhead City Justice Court.
“Detectives interviewed her about her involvement in the stabbing altercation,” Fromelt said. “She was subsequently arrested for aggravated assault.”
Fromelt said the same charge is pending against the male juvenile.
Fromelt said the teenager who stabbed the man is on the run. She said Martinez hit the victim in the head with her water bottle and that authorities don’t know what they were arguing about.
