Phyllis Parker

March 24, 1938 – July 16, 2025

Phyllis Parker, 87, of Kingman, Arizona, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 24, 1938, in Decatur, Illinois, Phyllis lived a life full of grace, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

Phyllis was the beloved mother of five children: Debbie Shade (Bill), Rhonda Walker (Ed), Teresa Roth (Steve), Timmy Parker (Dawn), and Charles Parker. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Davia Woods, Stephen Shade, David Shade, Danielle McMillion, Ariel Esquibel, Drew Diaz, Dakota Dupee, Serena Parlanti, and Sean Parker. Her legacy continues to grow through her 20+ great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love she poured into her family.

She is reunited in heaven with her husband, Charles Parker, and many cherished relatives who went before her.

Known for her green thumb and tender care, Phyllis’s garden was the envy of the neighborhood—always blooming, always beautiful. But her true joy came from nurturing her family. Her heart was her home, and everyone who entered it felt the warmth of her spirit.

Phyllis was a beautiful soul who has now gained her wings. May she sing and dance once more, free and full of light.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Helens Place Assisted Living, Crystal Brown the owner and their wonderful staff for taking care of Phyllis with so much love, care, and compassion.

A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant something in her honor—a flower, a tree, a garden—and think of her when it blooms.

  1. I will plant a tree in her honor…. A dogwood because I always believe they are so beautiful and special and She is and always will be a special lady . She will be missed. My love and prayers to all of you

  2. To the Parker Family, your Mom was a gem and she will be missed. May God give you peace at this time.

  3. Phyllis was one of my mom’s dearest friends. When mom passed away in 2020 at age 98, her memorial wishes were opened up and mom wrote that she wanted Phyllis Parker to be the liturgist at mom’s funeral mass. Most of the others mom had mentioned on that directive (written around 2008) had already passed.
But due to COVID, the priest said he was unable to hold a funeral mass, or a funeral of any type. We could not have the organist mom wanted either. So only close family up to 10 people were able to attend.
Mom told me that when you live a very long life, the downside is that you outlive your friends. So true.
Thank you for being such a great friend to mom during your working careers! I remember how you all dressed up for Halloween with over-the-top costumes at the office! You gave her so many good times and great laughs. You will be missed, Phyllis!
