Parade to honor American, patriots

TOPOCK/GOLDEN SHORES – VFW Post 6306 will be hosting a parade to honor America’s freedoms and celebrate the 100th birthday of Route 66 on Saturday, April 11, beginning at 10 a.m. The event will feature a special program recognizing veterans and local youth participation in patriotic activities as well as special honors for three community veterans over 90 years old.

Participants include Mohave County Sheriff Doug Schuster, Supervisor Ron Gould, Shriners, Garage Gang, Topock Elementary Drummers, Mohave Valley Jr ROTC, Offroader Club, Animals from Beth’s Burro Barn, and Mohave County K9 Unit.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the parade. Immediately following the parade there will be food, a vendor fair and entertainment at VFW Post 6306 in Topock.
