Since most of my letters begin in a negative spirit, I’d like to start this one in a positive vein.

I sincerely offer my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Development Services Director Scott Holtry, Public Works Director Steve Latoski, the Mohave County Public Land and Recreation Advisory Commission, and the Mohave County Supervisors for their combined actions to oppose and prevent yet another underhanded resource grab against the hapless citizens of Mohave County.

Georgina Rochelle McMilon, of Kingman, died Friday, January 29, 2021. She was 49. Ms. McMilon was born Feb. 21, 1971 in Upland, Calif. A viewing will be held Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, with services following at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Kingman. First positive COVID-19 case at Mohave County Jail

KINGMAN – An inmate of the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility tested positive on Tuesday for COVID-19. The inmate, currently housed in medical isolation at the jail, has shown no signs or symptoms of the virus and will continue to be monitored and provided treatment as may be necessary. KRMC issues guidance for seeking medical care for COVID 19 symptoms

KINGMAN – Now that cases of COVID-19 have been identified in our community, Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) is sharing the following information with community members about when and how to seek medical care if they have respiratory symptoms. We have temporarily changed our processes to limit the spread of illness. Symptoms of COVID-19 include a cough, fever, and shortness of breath.
