Longtime Kingman attorney Bill Porter passes
His friends and family are mourning the death of longtime Kingman attorney Bill Porter. Kingman police confirm that Porter was found deceased inside his Kingman apartment at mid-morning Wednesday. He was heavily committed to civic organizations and his involvements included the Arizona Historical Society, Kingman Regional Medical Center and the Mohave Museum.
Be kind to one another
Quite often we read something or hear someone speak of ‘random acts of kindness.’ Such acts of kindness are not necessarily an act of bravery like the saving of a child from drowning or rushing into a burning building to save an elderly person who is about to perish. Finding true rest
My wife, Lynda, and I just returned from a two-week vacation; a time designated for rest and relaxation. Though we had a great time and saw many things, we came home tired and needed a vacation from our vacation. The reason: we drove 1,800 miles; fighting the wind most of the way. Through the years I have heard many people say, “I came home from vacation more tired than before I went.” As Americans, I suppose that we do try and cram so much into a few days’ time. We want to see and experience all that we can because for most of us, vacation comes just once each year.
Hope is “Help, to the rescue”
Happiness is a choice! You can either choose to be happy, or you can choose to be downcast, discourage or depressed. Life is what you make it. Now, there are many who would disagree, citing chemical imbalances, adverse situations and circumstances as their reason. While these things may be certain in our life, the truth remains that happiness is dependent upon circumstances, but true joy is dependent upon a relationship, for the Lord gives us hope that results in joy. The psalmist David was like any one of us. The Scriptures reveal that he had good days, and bad days. He was the King of Israel, but he was also
