Finding true rest

My wife, Lynda, and I just returned from a two-week vacation; a time designated for rest and relaxation. Though we had a great time and saw many things, we came home tired and needed a vacation from our vacation. The reason: we drove 1,800 miles; fighting the wind most of the way. Through the years I have heard many people say, “I came home from vacation more tired than before I went.” As Americans, I suppose that we do try and cram so much into a few days’ time. YVONNE FELICIA RODRIGUEZ

Yvonne was called into our Lord’s arms on August 11, 2018. She was born on August 23, 1956 to Rudolph and Hortensia Rodriguez of San Jose, California. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Hortensia Rodriguez.  She is survived by Avette and Lea Torres, Kevin and Elena Hall as well as 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She loved knitting and making blankets for her grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her. The family held a private celebration of life for Yvonne.
