Top county employee dies
KINGMAN – Mohave County is mourning the loss of Yvonne Orr, its Administrative Services Director. Orr had been treated for an unspecified period of time at Kingman Regional Medical Center before she was transferred to a Phoenix hospital where she died Thursday. “With a very sad and heavy heart I inform you that Yvonne Orr passed away today,” county manager Sam Elters said in a memo to county employees. “Her family is in a state of shock and have asked for privacy.” Elters’ memo asked that the family not be contacted and it did not indicate a cause of Orr’s death. GARY VICTOR MUIR
Gary Victor Muir passed away June 30, 2021 in Kingman, Arizona. He was born in Palo Alto, California 73 years ago. He was the son of Ray and Esther Muir. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan of Chloride, Ariz.; his son Kevin Muir of Hawaii; and stepson David Miranda of California. Gary is also survived by three granddaughters Camilla and Marie Muir of Hawaii and Isabella Miranda of California; and one grandson Willie Miranda of West Virginia. He was preceeded in death by his parents and one brother. Gary was an avid motorcycle enthusiast for 50 years, and loved to play golf. Gary and Joan moved to Chloride

Myra Fielding, of Peach Springs, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021. She was 86. Mrs. Fielding was born July 8, 1935 in Kingman. The family contact is her daughter Mary Jane Manakaja. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.

EDNA C. JOHNSON
September 14, 1931 – July 12, 2021 Edna died peacefully in her sleep, at home with her family at her side. Edna was preceded in death with the passing of her husband Frank in 2003, her twin sister Elna Graham in 2010, her brothers Myron and Harris Hanson and sisters Norma Bachel, Thelma Holter, and Gladys Skogstad. Edna is survived by her children Nancy Manning of Kingman, Wayne Johnson of Kingman, and Randy Johnson of San Francisco; grandchildren Jeremy and Nicole Lauderdale, great grandchildren Jason, Camryn, Lilly and Lucy, and precious great-great granddaughter Frankie Lee, all of Washington.
