George Crouch passed from this earth into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on June 29, 2021, at the age of 89 after a short illness. He had lived in Kingman, Arizona for the past seven years. He was born as the seventh of ten children of Tom and Myrtle Crouch in Fresno, California during the Great Depression on March 13, 1932. The family struggled to make ends meet during the depression which found the Crouch family all out working any jobs available, including farm laborer and picking cotton by hand, to provide income. KINGMAN – Many of those who knew and loved him will pay their last respects this weekend to the late James Zyla. For years, the red-capped, white bearded Zyla shuffled the streets of Kingman. Many mistook Zyla for a helpless transient though he was highly educated and intelligent and wowed anyone who heard him play a piano. Affectionately known as “Kingman’s Santa”, Zyla drew feature coverage in the L.A. Times and a number of other newspapers and he was once presented a key to the city by Kingman Mayor Jen Miles.
