Arthur Clifton Hogge, III, of Golden Valley, died Monday, February 21, 2022. He was 82. Mr. Hogge was born April 9, 1939 in Houston, Tex. Services were held Friday, March 25 at 10 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Kingman. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
On Friday, March 11, Gloria Jean Stevens passed away in Kingman, Arizona at the age of 74. Originally from Guntersville, Alabama, Gloria was born on June 25, 1947. The family contact is her husband, Ivan Stevens. There will be a viewing on Saturday, March 26 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home with a service immediately following. Burial will be on Monday, March 28 at 10 a.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements were done by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
Carl Leroy Burchfield passed away at his home in Golden Valley, AZ on March 7. He was born April 1, 1935 in Terre Haute, IN to Walter J. and Kathryn (Otte) Burchfield, and resided in Rosedale, IN while growing up. Carl is survived by Joanith (Joslyn) Burchfield, his wife of 68 years; his two sons Terry L. Burchfield and Timothy M. Burchfield (Lori) of Golden Valley, AZ; brother Larry Burchfield of Terre Haute, IN; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patricia Bothwell, and foster-son and daughter: Ronald House Burchfield and Gina Buell. Carl was a loving husband, father to his children, and
Don Floy Pugh passed away on Feb. 18, 2022. He was born 4th of July 1939 in Oklahoma City, OK to Ernest and Rama Pugh. The family moved to Ontario, CA in 1952, where he attended Chaffey High School. Don served proudly in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1962. After leaving the Air Force, he returned to Ontario and was active in residential real estate. Don was a part of AA for 34 years. He took great responsibility in sponsoring and supporting those seeking to change their path. Don moved to Kingman, AZ in 2016. His time in Kingman was the most peaceful time of his life. He
David Arville Huffstutler Jr. passed into eternity on February 7, 2022 at the Kingman Regional Medical Center in Kingman, Arizona. Born June 17, 1930 in Los Angeles, California to David (Dee) Arville Huffstutler Sr. and Eva Wadsworth Huffstutler, he is survived by his daughter Rynie Louise Gibson; three nieces Bonnie Wilson Glenn, Karen and Pamela Younce; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A man about town who enjoyed life on the seas both with a short term in the Navy and later as a Merchant Marine. The last part of his life was lived in Sacramento, California before moving to Golden Valley, Arizona to move close to his last living child.
Lavada (Cheney) Henry, 94, passed away in her sleep on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Twin Rivers Nursing Home in Arkadelphia, AR. Lavada was born September 23, 1927 in Hoxie, Arkansas to Henry James Cheney and Emma Jane Griffith. She is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Johnie William Henry; one son, Tommy Lee Henry; one granddaughter, Tina Jane Porterfield; and two brothers, Earl and Earnest Cheney. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Jane (Sonny) Porterfield; sister Loretta Williams; and four grandsons: William L. Jolene Kay Miller, 63 of Kingman, unexpectedly but peacefully left this world the evening of February 10, 2022 at the Lingenfelter Center for Alzheimer’s Care. She was born April 30, 1958 in Provo, UT to Jack Corbin and Sylvia Brown, and was a longtime resident of Kingman. Jolene had many jobs throughout her life, starting her career as an HR Specialist while attending cosmetology school. After completing school, she was the manager of her local Supercuts, later venturing into waitressing, and ended her working years as a truck driver where she was able to fulfill her dream of traveling throughout the US.
