LESTER WADE BYRAM
Lester Wade Byram, a longtime Kingman resident and former Mayor, passed away at age 92 on August 19, 2021, at home in the company of family following a brief illness. Lester was born and grew up in Melbourne, Arkansas, where he played college basketball at Arkansas Tech. He received a graduate degree in Education from Arizona State University and undertook doctoral studies at the University of Arizona in Tucson. In 1957, Lester moved to Kingman, where he taught junior high school and coached champion basketball teams. ALPHIA MAE DUNLOP
Alphia Mae Dunlop 102, of Kingman died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Desert Highlands Care Center. Alphia (Alphie) was born August 10, 1919 in Glenwood, AR. to Thomas and Bessie Small. Alphia was a widow and spent most of her time making friends and playing bingo. She was loved by the community of Kingman and everyone knew her. Alphia was proceeded in death by her loving husband Ed Dunlop; her parents Thomas and Bessie (Kitchens) Small; brothers Otto, Dewitt, Wayne Thomas, James William; sister Ellen Lucas; and daughter Alline Thompson. On August 19, 2021 Verne Carl Powell passed away. A resident of Kingman, Powell was born March 26, 1928 in Wymore, Nebraska and will be missed. He was 93 years old. The family contact is his son, William F. Powell. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.

On August 9, 2021, David Craig Grasser of Kingman, Arizona, passed away. He was 67 years old. Grasser was born in North Dakota on May 20, 1954. The family contact is his sister-in-law Doris Melissa Grasser. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.

Richard Michael Kuzniski, of Kingman, died Thursday, August 12, 2021. He was 68. Mr. Kuzniski was born Dec. 14, 1952 in Chicago, Ill. The family contact is his wife Claudine Olga Schneberger. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
Bullhead City Police Lieutenant Nicholas Sessions
Bullhead City Police Lieutenant Nick Sessions, who died after a prolonged fight against COVID-19 on August 6, 2021, will be remembered by the Bullhead City Police Department and greater public safety community with an honors funeral service next week. The funeral service for Lt. Nick Sessions will be held on Thursday, August 19th at 10 a.m. MST at the Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse, 3663 Bullhead Parkway, in Bullhead City. Few people live a life as spirited and poignant as the life that Chaplain Paul Pitts lead. Chaplain Pitts dedicated his life to working and ministering in his community and providing much-needed support and guidance to his fellow veterans. “He was totally—100%—devoted to veterans,” Father Philip Shaw said of his dear friend. Pitts worked as an Airforce Auxiliary Chaplain, a hospice Chaplain for Living Waters Hospice in Golden Valley, and as a Chaplain for countless other service members and first responders in our community. “He probably did his best work through the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council,” Shaw continued. “He was the guy all the vets went to.” Chaplain Pitts performed
