DAVID ARVILLE HUFFSTUTLER
David Arville Huffstutler Jr. passed into eternity on February 7, 2022 at the Kingman Regional Medical Center in Kingman, Arizona. Born June 17, 1930 in Los Angeles, California to David (Dee) Arville Huffstutler Sr. and Eva Wadsworth Huffstutler, he is survived by his daughter Rynie Louise Gibson; three nieces Bonnie Wilson Glenn, Karen and Pamela Younce; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A man about town who enjoyed life on the seas both with a short term in the Navy and later as a Merchant Marine. The last part of his life was lived in Sacramento, California before moving to Golden Valley, Arizona to move close to his last living child.
LAVADA HENRY
Lavada (Cheney) Henry, 94, passed away in her sleep on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Twin Rivers Nursing Home in Arkadelphia, AR. Lavada was born September 23, 1927 in Hoxie, Arkansas to Henry James Cheney and Emma Jane Griffith. She is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Johnie William Henry; one son, Tommy Lee Henry; one granddaughter, Tina Jane Porterfield; and two brothers, Earl and Earnest Cheney. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Jane (Sonny) Porterfield; sister Loretta Williams; and four grandsons: William L. JOLENE KAY MILLER
Jolene Kay Miller, 63 of Kingman, unexpectedly but peacefully left this world the evening of February 10, 2022 at the Lingenfelter Center for Alzheimer’s Care. She was born April 30, 1958 in Provo, UT to Jack Corbin and Sylvia Brown, and was a longtime resident of Kingman. Jolene had many jobs throughout her life, starting her career as an HR Specialist while attending cosmetology school. After completing school, she was the manager of her local Supercuts, later venturing into waitressing, and ended her working years as a truck driver where she was able to fulfill her dream of traveling throughout the US. SAKAI UYEHARA
Sakai Uyehara (a.k.a. George Sakai Uyehara) passed away on Feb. 2, 2022 at the Joan and Diana Hospice House in Kingman, AZ. He was 84 years old. George was born on February 20, 1937 in Paia, Maui, Territory of Hawaii. His father was Kame Uehara and his mother was Toyo Izu. In 1955, he graduated from Farrington High School in Kalihi, Oahu, HI. He worked for 1 year for the Post Office in Honolulu, then he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving for 4 years before being honorably discharged. Stuart (Stu) Lee Anderson passed on February 3, 2022 at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Carol S. Anderson; his three children: Becky A. Hill, Margie Joy (Leif), and J.D. Anderson (Rachel); his five grandchildren: Ellen Hill, Isabella Anderson, Addie Joy, Charlie Anderson, and Mason Anderson; his two sisters Marcia L. Sandra Jean Cofer, 82 of Kingman, passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Feb. 10, 2022. Sandra was born in Kingman, AZ on September 2, 1940 to Charles and Maxine Willis. She attended Mohave Union High School where she enjoyed band and being a majorette and a Rainbow Girl. She graduated MCUHS with the class of 1958. Sandra met the love of her life – Clint Cofer – at a rodeo dance: he was a senior and she was a sophomore. They were married on February 14, 1959. Jennifer Marie Poole Evans passed away peacefully in her sleep in her home In Kingman, AZ on January 28, 2022. Jennifer was born May 3, 1990 in Phoenix, AZ to Douglas and Beverly Poole. She was baptized at Journey Church on Easter Sunday in 2012. Jennifer was preceded in death by Douglas L. Poole Sr., Beatrice Poole, Richard B. Young, Joan Young, Bonnie Poole, and Neal Bazemore Young. She is survived by her husband of eight years, Alexander Evans, of Kingman, as well as her parents Douglas L.
