Dear Editor,
Unlike my usual gripe and whine, I am pleased to continue on a quite positive note.
I recently had the privilege of listening to 4th District Supervisorial candidate, Don Martin speak about his view of the responsibilities to be assumed by a potential Mohave County Supervisor. I was impressed by his fervor in describing just how much he loves Mohave County and its citizenry. He also spoke on some subjects near and dear to my heart,(i.e.) his life’s service to his fellow man and his experiences here would fill a very informative, instructive and uplifting book. That and his deep understanding of the needs of the people he loves.
Don made a statement that resonates deeply and strongly with me. That is “If elected, I pledge to protect the heritage, customs and values of the citizens of Mohave County and District 4.”
Our County needs a strong person such as this who is willing to step way out there on that limb to preserve our way of life and our rural lifestyle rather than becoming just another developer’s puppet.
A continuing theme spoken in his presentation was his fervent desire and commitment to truly represent and serve his constituents.
Continuing in praise of Don’s personal philosophy and his love of community, he stated “I am a staunch 2nd Amendment advocate and strongly support law enforcement in our County.”
Don is a military veteran and police officer who put his life on the line to protect and preserve all of us and our freedoms. He is a lifelong outdoorsman, avid sportsman and conservationist who loves our beautiful County as much as I do.
It is my firm belief that your vote and God’s blessing for Don Martin will be a vote for the serene future of Mohave County and its citizens.
