Kingman Moose Riders to host 3rd annual poker run to benefit MIKID

KINGMAN – Kingman Moose Riders will be hosting its 3rd annual Joker’s Wild Poker Run on Saturday, April 19 in Kingman. Proceeds from the event will go to Mentally Ill Kids In Distress (MIKID), an Arizona nonprofit focused on improving the mental and behavioral health of children and youth.

During the Poker Run, participants will ride their motorcycles from one checkpoint to the next, collecting a playing card at each stop. At the final checkpoint, the winner is determined based on who has the best poker hand.

The cost to enter is $5 per hand and $10 per vehicle. Sign-in begins at 9 a.m. and the run begins at 10:30 a.m. at Kingman Moose Lodge, located at 302 Monroe St. There will be live music and food, as well as raffles and prizes. All proceeds benefit MIKID.

MIKID’s family-centered approach provides support to parents navigating systems of care as well as helping youth 25 and younger cope with their challenges. MIKID says it helped over 4,000 children with various mental and behavioral health needs such as autism, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
