KINGMAN, Ariz. – Moose Lodge #1704 President Shirley McCoy said donating Bomba socks to Cerbat Elementary School is an annual event.
“Bomba donates the socks to Spread Peace USA and they, in turn, donate them to us.”
McCoy said when it first started Spread Peace USA came to Kingman and chose the Moose to work with.
“The first year we got 10,000 pairs and distributed them to 10 or 12 organizations. This year we only got 3,000 that we’re distributing to six different organizations.”
She said in the past, besides Cerbat Elementary, they have distributed Bomba socks to places like churches, Angel Manor, and Cornerstone Mission.
“We get them every year,” McCoy said. “The only stipulation is they can’t be sold; they have to be given away.”
