Kingman, Mohave County partner with ASU to gather community input on groundwater

KINGMAN — The City of Kingman and Mohave County, in partnership with Arizona State University, are encouraging residents to participate in a newly launched groundwater survey focused on understanding rural groundwater concerns across Arizona.  The survey is part of a statewide effort led by Arizona State University to gather community input that will help identify gaps in how rural areas address groundwater issues. Survey responses will be used to inform the development of future resources designed to support rural communities in protecting and managing their groundwater.

While the survey is open to anyone in Arizona age 18 and older, responses from Mohave County residents will directly inform local efforts, ensuring that future discussions reflect the unique needs and priorities of the community.

Participation in the survey is voluntary and anonymous, with no identifying information collected beyond general location. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and is open now through March 15.  As an added incentive, participants may choose to enter a drawing to win one of six $25 Amazon gift cards upon completing the survey.

Residents can access the survey by clicking the link below or copying and pasting the URL into their browser: https://tinyurl.com/AZgroundwater

The City of Kingman encourages residents to take part in this effort and help ensure local voices are represented in future groundwater planning and educational opportunities.

For more information about the survey or the study, residents may contact Dr. Claire Lauer at Arizona State University at claire.lauer@asu.edu
