LAKE HAVASU CITY – The time has come to witness the world’s largest endurance jet ski race in the world. President Ross Wallach of RPM Racing Enterprises will be hosting the 20th Mark Hahn Memorial race. The race will be licensed by the International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA).
The anticipated event is expected to attract numerous teams from all over the world including high profile racers from the U.S. The teams will be competing against one another all for the sake of breaking the 300-mile record of four hours, 46 minutes, 30 seconds.
The annual race is expected to take place on Saturday, February 24 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North Beach Lake Havasu State Park. At the end of the race, there will be a first-class awards banquet hosted by Hahn’s longtime friend Mike Follmer.
State park entry fees for spectators will be $20 per vehicle. Hahn was a jet ski endurance racer who was conducive in providing focus to endurance racing for the whole country to enjoy. On Saturday, April 17, 2004, the racer died of a heart attack while participating in a jet ski race in Parker.
