Jerry Lee Hughes

Jerry Lee Hughes, 83, of Truxton, Arizona went to her heavenly home on October 6, 2023, surrounded by her daughters. Jerry was born to Thurman and Leslie Dobbins on October 26, 1939, in Garfield, New Mexico.

Jerry was raised in New Mexico where she met the love of her life Leon and in 1967, they moved to Truxton, Arizona to raise their family. Jerry worked at the Peach Springs School, Hatch Valley Water Company, and the Frontier Cafe.

Jerry was preceded in death by her husband Leon Hughes, her parents Thurman and Leslie Dobbins and brother Billy Dobbins.

Jerry is survived by her three daughters Darla, Denise, and Dawna. Eight grandchildren Andrea, JW, Samantha, Shannon, JT, James, Will, and Tom and 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. November 4, at the Valentine School Gym in Truxton.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you to make a donation in Jerry’s name to the charity of your choice.
