Impaired Kingman driver causes three-car collision

KINGMAN — A Kingman man was reportedly impaired when he allegedly caused a three vehicle traffic accident shortly before 4:00 p.m. on September 15. Deputy Kingman police chief Joel Freed said Jesse Arrey, 30, was arrested for aggravated drunk driving with a minor present, two other DUI related offenses, aggravated assault and endangerment.

Freed said Arrey fled the scene of the accident at the intersection of Kino Avenue and North Stockton Hill Road, but was stopped by police in the area of Peart Avenue and Verdugo Road.

“Investigators performed standardized field sobriety tests on Arrey and he did poorly,” Freed said. He said Arrey’s blood alcohol content measured twice above the legal limit for driving of .08.

No one was hurt in the other two vehicles involved in the crash. A five-year-old girl in Arrey’s vehicle sustained minor injuries.
