Gene Brummett

Gene Brummett, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, went home to be with our Abba Yahuah on December 24, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Kingman, Arizona, to Wilma and Thurman Brummett—both lifelong residents of Kingman—Gene remained deeply rooted in the community he loved.

A proud veteran, Gene served in the United States Army from March 1968 to November 1969. He was also a dedicated member of the Carpenters Union, known for his strong work ethic and skilled hands.

Gene had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the traditions of his Cherokee heritage. He loved horses, firearms, Native American culture, camping, and hunting—finding peace and joy in nature. Those who knew Gene will remember him as a fun-loving soul with a generous heart—he was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation.

He is survived by his six children: Tracy Haines, Tod Brummett, Beau Brummett, Shawna Shreeves, Chereice Lowery, and Jason Urwin; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his brother, Gary Brummett. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Living Waters Hospice Care and Sandy Smith for their outstanding, loving, and gentle care during Gene’s illness.

A small graveside service will be held on January 5, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Mountain View Cemetery in Kingman, Arizona.

Sutton Memorial Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

*Cowboy up, Daddy. We love you and will miss you terribly*

As we say goodbye, we hold tight to the words of

Isaiah 57:2 “He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.”

2 Peter 1:11 “For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Master Yahusha HaMashiach.

2 Timothy 4:7  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have guarded the faith.
