Full closure on Downtown Beale Street for The Very Merry Street of Lights

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is pleased to announce the annual Very Merry Street of Lights event, taking place on Saturday, December 7, 2024. To accommodate this festive celebration, a full closure of Beale Street will be in effect from 11:00 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. The closure will stretch from the entrance of West Beale Street at Andy Devine Avenue to 6th Street.  Motorists should note that access to Lee Williams High School via Grandview Avenue will remain open via a left turn only lane throughout the event.

The Very Merry Street of Lights is a walking-only experience designed to immerse visitors in the holiday spirit. Guests can enjoy beautifully decorated floats lining the newly renovated Beale Street, along with live music, festive activities, and delicious offerings from local food trucks. The Mingle Jingle Christmas Bazaar, held inside the Beale Celebrations Event Center, will showcase unique gifts and holiday treasures from local vendors, providing an exceptional shopping experience.

Adding to the excitement, Santa Claus will make a dramatic entrance by helicopter at 5:00 P.M. landing at the baseball fields at Lee Williams High School, kicking off the evening festivities. The celebration will culminate with the highly anticipated Tree Lighting Ceremony at Locomotive Park at 6:00 P.M., a moment sure to captivate the hearts of attendees young and old.

This year’s event theme, “Gingerbread Lane,” invites visitors to step into the enchantment of the Holiday season as they stroll along Beale Street. The event is family-friendly, free of charge, and promises a magical night for all who attend.

The City of Kingman encourages everyone to plan ahead for parking and downtown navigation due to expected high attendance.
