LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City man faces potential prison time in a misconduct involving weapons case. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jennifer Brodie said Jaden Derry, 30, illegally possessed a firearm when contacted by police two months ago.

Brodie told Superior Court Judge Lee Jantzen that officers responded on Feb. 27 to the 2000 block of Swanson Avenue where she said Derry had been “swinging a bat around and disrupting the peace.” She said Derry illegally possessed a handgun given prior conviction for a felony offense.

Derry must forfeit the firearm under terms of the plea agreement entered April 24. He is eligible for probation but could also get up to 2.5-years in prison when sentenced May 21.
