COVID-19 update: 35 new cases, one death

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified yesterday of 34 new confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The one death is a 70-79 year age range person in the Bullhead City service area and is a case not previously reported.

Of the 35 new confirmed cases, 10 are in the Bullhead City area. One is the death mentioned above. Eight on the remaining Bullhead City area cases are recovering at home and are linked to another case. One is 0-10; one is 11-19; three are 20-29; one is 30-39; one is 40-49; one is 60-69. The final Bullhead City area case is 50-59 and the case remains under investigation.

Thirteen of the 34 cases are in the Lake Havasu City service area. Two are 80-89 persons, who are hospitalized and their case remains under investigation. Six cases remain under investigation. Two are 20-29; one is 30-39; one is 50-59; two are 60-69. The remaining five cases are recovering at home and the case is linked to another confirmed case. Two are 20-29 and three are 50-59.

NOTE: There are 13 new confirmed cases in the Kingman service area. However, 11 of them are atypical regarding age range and other data. They are recovering and all 11 are linked to another confirmed case. The Mohave County Nursing staff is working on obtaining the data at this time. Two Kingman service area cases remain. One is a 20-29 person and the case is under investigation and the other is a 60-69 individual, who is recovering at home and is linked to another case.

The county is now emphasizing the vitally important “trending” of the disease in the county and supplying additional information in the website link below.

The county, at this time, will not be releasing deaths by individual communities.

Total positive cases, 3,384. Total recovered, 2,161.
