KINGMAN – A woman who threw punches and kicks at Kingman police has been sentenced to the Arizona Department of Corrections for two years. Christine Cooper, 45, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault involving a first responder for the Dec. 31, 2025 incident on Center St.

“The officers involved were not actually harmed,” defense attorney Mike Shin said, asking for probation during a June10 sentencing hearing. “No one was hurt.”

Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle cited Cooper’s criminal history and personal challenges. “The defendant obviously has mental health issues and addiction issues,” he said.

Carlisle noted Cooper blew her shot at probation by failing to complete her Health and Wellness Court program.
