Clothing nonprofit Clothes Closet now offers place to shower for those in need

LAKE HAVASU CITY — Retail non-profit Clothes Closet will now be providing a service to the locals of the Lake Havasu community in need of personal hygiene assistance.

Since 2010, Clothes Closet has been delivering human necessities to the public such as free clothing however, many not be aware of their added services for people facing with economic challenges.  The charitable team gives their visitors help with employment, food banks, counseling, transitional housing, healthcare checks, and even helps those suffering from opioid addictions. 

At the end of March of this year, is when then organization finally accomplished their goal to deliver showers to individuals having to live in their car, tent, or motorhomes, and do not have access to perform routine bathing. 

Within just three weeks. Clothes Closet helped thirty six people and four of them were children.  The facility can even help those with physical limitations as they have now have two handicap accessible showers.  

Clothes Closet is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 1968 Mesquite Avenue in Lake Havasu City.  

With their ongoing mission to instill dignity in people who have lost hope, the ones who have a chance at experiencing this new service, now have much better outlook about themselves and their bodies.
