VA needs help for vets

Dear Editor, The Prescott Veterans Administration needs our help to give needed items to their patients. All must be new, unused items. This list includes the Homeless Veterans Program. If anyone can give cash, the Kingman Elks Lodge #468 at 900 Gates Ave., will have a collection box for cash in the social quarters. The items can be held in the meeting room for Nani Chrimes to pick up to send to Prescott. The Elks office is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 am. To 3 p.m. for collection items through Nov. 1. Then they have to be packaged up…

Trump is no war hero

Dear Editor, To those who think Joe Biden is mentally unfit, I would ask. How smart is a president who agrees to give 18 to 19 recorded interviews to a journalist, spill his secrets, and think the information is not going to get released to the public. Should we not question Trump’s mental prowess? I posit this revelation is not going to sit well with liberal Americans, but will make no difference to those afflicted with Trump derangement syndrome. Just like the on-air ads we see for candidates on both sides, ones which claim to have seen “Joe’s America” in…

NACFD marks one year under city management

Dear Editor, It has been over one year since the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District #1 (NACFD #1) has entered into the Management Services Agreement with the City of Kingman. The Bengals and The Browns stood together. Could this work for America?

Dear Editor, I haven’t watched much professional sports over the last few months. Last Thursday I did tune into the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns football game. My attention grew when I saw both teams on the field, arm in arm standing together for the national anthem. I didn’t see three or four kneeling or one team in the locker room and another team on the field. I didn’t see anyone standing on their heads or someone else doing flip flops or something else. Both teams were standing, arm in arm in attention for the national anthem. I watched the…

Turn The Page

Dear Editor, Fall season officially begins September 22 this year. For every season there is a change. Most of us like the seasons especially if we can have four of them. I like the fall as the weather seems more stable in our part of the country. For our neighbors in California they are desperate for anything that will bring rain and an end to the devastating fires. This has been a cruel, harsh time that we pray passes by and ends very quickly for California. On the east and gulf coast there is always another looming hurricane this time…
