Admitted heroin dealer faces prison

A woman who admitted selling drugs in Bullhead City faces possible prison time under terms of a plea agreement entered in Mohave County Superior Court. Dallis Fanning, 36, is eligible for probation but she could also get up to four years in prison. Fanning pleaded guilty to possession of narcotic drugs for sale during a Wednesday hearing in Kingman. Possession of dangerous drugs for sale and a drug paraphernalia charge are dismissed in the deal. Officer cleared in shooting death

A Kingman police officer who shot and killed a local resident last fall has been exonerated and cleared of any wrongdoing through outside agency investigation and case review by deputy Mohave County Attorney James Schoppmann. He concluded that officer Shawn Wyma’s use of deadly physical force was legally justified. Schoppmann’s findings come in the Oct. 14, 2020 ordeal that culminated in the death of Jason Peters, 45. Police first responded at 12:36 a.m. to a report of a man wielding a machete and chopping bushes on his neighbor’s property in the 2000 block of Fairgrounds Boulevard. Shooting suspect nabbed

KINGMAN – A suspect in a Dec. 30 shooting in Kingman has been arrested outside Phoenix. Eustolio Gill, 36, was taken into custody without incident Wednesday evening, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s office. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said investigation of the violence at a home in the 2700 block of E. Carver Avenue produced information suggesting Gill was hiding at a Mesa motel. She said Gill was apprehended there with assistance from the Mesa Police Department. Gill will be transported back to Mohave County where he faces prosecution for attempted first degree murder. Kitterman named Ripon College Dean’s List

Ripon College has announced its Dean’s List for the fall 2020 semester recognizing academic excellence. To qualify for the Dean’s List at Ripon College, students must achieve a 3.40 grade point average or higher on a 4.00 scale and complete at least 12 credits of regular letter-graded works. John Kitterman, class of 2022, from Lake Havasu City, Arizona is majoring in Exercise Science-Athletic Training with a minor in Coaching and was named to the fall 2020 Dean’s List.
