Kingman government coming back online following cyberattack

KINGMAN – City of Kingman Information Technology (IT) team members are slowly beginning to bring certain government operations back online. At this time Kingman IT members are visiting the city’s more than 20 work sites within the city, and getting email, internet access, and some specialized programs up and running. Some work functions, specialized software, files, etc. are still not accessible to most departments,  to ensure a safe transition to being fully functional. $800,000 road project for Pegasus to be discussed at Monday BOS meeting

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Supervisor Ron Gould said he opposes a staff recommendation to award bid and authorize up to $800,000 in spending to improve a road that would benefit a multi-billion-dollar project proposed for the Interstate 40 industrial corridor south of Kingman. The Pegasus Holdings Group announced in June 2019 that it would have a $3-billion data center up and running by Dec. of that year. Dec. arrived and while development languished, Pegasus officials announced a companion $5-billion phase two data processing project that same month. An election law specialist attorney has filed litigation demanding the cancellation of the anticipated Aug. 3 recall election targeting Kingman Mayor Jen Miles. The city council was expected to schedule the election next week after scrutiny by city and Mohave County officials determined that petitions submitted on behalf of recall leader James Coffman had sufficient valid signatures to advance the question.
