Lincoln Day Dinner set

KINGMAN – The Mohave County GOP, District 1 will be hosting their annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday, April 24 at Beale Celebrations, 201 N. Fourth St. There will be a gun raffle, silent and live auctions, and guest speakers. City meetings cancelled for next week

KINGMAN – Due to the recent cyber-attack on the City of Kingman government operations, the March 9, Planning & Zoning Commission meeting and the March 10 Board of Adjustment meeting have been cancelled. Mack makes history as first defendant in new courthouse

KINGMAN – The new Mohave County Courthouse addition holds its first jury trials next week. Superior Court jury trials held in the adjacent historic courthouse in downtown Kingman were suspended in December, when coronavirus case numbers were spiking. Prospective jurors will be summoned Monday for the trial of Greg Mack. The 49-year-old Kingman man is accused of scuffling with Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies during a 2018 landlord tenant dispute in Valle Vista. Mask mandate moves mayor recall forward

KINGMAN – Kingman Mayor Jen Miles has been notified that signatures on petitions proposing her recall from office have been validated by the Mohave County Recorder’s Office. Miles said the office has determined that the petitions bear 1,512 valid signatures, 128 more than the minimum number required to qualify the question. Recall leader James Coffman said he initiated the recall last September largely in protest of the municipal mask mandate that was in effect at that time. Shooter apprehended at his home

KINGMAN – A Kingman man who allegedly shot two people over a five-hour period was apprehended early Thursday. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) says the ordeal began at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday, when deputies responded to a shooting reported in the 2600 block of Potter Ave. in north Kingman. MCSO spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the suspect later identified as Jason Allen Campbell, 39, had fled the scene by the time deputies arrived and discovered an adult male with a gunshot to the chest.
