The Governor’s Office is now accepting applications from residents in 11 of Arizona’s 15 counties who are interested in serving on the state’s Game and Fish Commission. The Arizona Game and Fish Department is responsible for the conservation and protection of more than 800 species of wildlife in Arizona. County receives patent from BLM for 6-acre Beaver Dam parcel

MOHAVE COUNTY – County Public Works Director Steven Latoski was presented with the patent for a 5.95-acre parcel of land in the community of Beaver Dam, Arizona, on Aug 26 by Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Arizona Strip District Manager Michael Herder. The parcel, which is the site of a County maintenance facility and public offices, had previously been leased (with an option to patent) by the County under the Recreation and Public Purposes Act.  Latoski said “Mohave County looks forward to utilizing this patent and expanding upon our maintenance and improvement of facilities to better serve this growing community.” Latoski believes the patent…

MEC opens application for annual Washington Youth Tour

BULLHEAD CITY  – Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) is proud to announce our continuing sponsorship of the annual Washington Youth Tour. The COVID-19 pandemic led to a statewide cancelation for the 2020 and 2021 Youth Tours. Despite the cancellation of the tour, MEC continued to support our student members by offering a scholarship in place of the 2020 and 2021 trips. Applications will be accepted for the 2022 Washington Youth Tour as the trip is expected to take place.
