WASHINGTON — The Department of the Interior has announced a $152 million investment from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that will bring clean, reliable drinking water to communities across the West through six water storage and conveyance projects. The projects in California, Colorado and Washington are expected to develop at least 1.7 million acre-feet of additional water storage capacity, enough water to support 6.8 million people for a year. KRW to host Supervisor Lingenfelter

KINGMAN – Kingman Republican Women (KRW) will host Mohave County Supervisor Travis Lingenfelter, who has been serving on the Board of Supervisors since 2010. KRW meets on the first Monday of each month. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.  and the meeting begins at 1 p.m. Meetings are held at the College Park Church Community Center, 1990 Jagerson Avenue. Meetings are open to the public and membership is not required. There is a $3 fee to cover the cost of the meeting room. Lunch will not be served but brown baggers are welcome.

Human remains identified

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is once again thanking Othram Inc. for its ongoing assistance in achieving positive identification in human remains cases. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said authorities now know the identity of the person whose remains were located and recovered from a wash near Pioneer Dr. and Laguna Rd. in Golden Valley in Oct., 2021. “Using advanced DNA testing and Forensic-Grade Genome Sequencing, Orthram Inc. was able to identify the remains as belonging to Christopher Canning, 60,” Mortensen said.
