Operation 6 Closer to Launch: Vets Helping Vets. We Help Each Other.

KINGMAN – A future home for homeless veterans is past the first phase of getting a facelift and closer to completion. Operation 6, located inside the former Arnold Plaza at 312 Oak St. in downtown Kingman, has completed Phase I, the first part in a series of upgrades that will make the building habitable. The building and its program will provide temporary housing and transitional services for up to 25 homeless and at-risk military veterans over various periods of time.  It’s started with the help of the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council (JVAC), a non-profit and part of a coalition of…

It looked like a murder scene, but it wasn’t a murder scene

KINGMAN – The alley, cops and yellow tape looked realistic. It wasn’t a real crime scene. The Kingman Police Department and City of Kingman IT and public relation departments took on the task of filming a KPD recruitment video Tuesday morning in the alley behind Hotel Beale and The Sportsman’s Bar (‘Sporties’ as the locals call it). Many of us think Our Faith is genuine, we don’t see the impurities in Our Own Faith. God allows Christians to…

KINGMAN – A Kingman man is expected to survive after being critically injured when the bicycle he was operating struck a Honda minivan on Thursday, July 27. “The bicyclist was crossing the intersection of E. Andy Devine Ave. at Airway Ave. against a red light, into the path of an oncoming car, driven by a 66-year-old Kingman man,” said police Chief Rusty Cooper.” The cyclist received serious injuries to his head and upper body.” Cooper said investigators determined the mini-van driver was not at fault. The injured cyclist was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center before he was flown to…
