Nordic Boat Club held 3rd Annual Meetup

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Labor Day is normally the holiday that extends its farewells to the summer, however, the Nordic Boat owners Meetup event that occurred over the weekend celebrated the fading season in their own way. The Annual Nordic Boat Owner Meetup took place on Saturday, September 7 at Thompson Bay.

The man responsible for Nordic owner’s third yearly meetup is Trey Ordonez, a former owner of the Phoenix, Arizona boating company River Speed and Marine.

$2 million slated for South Cove improvements

MEADVIEW – The NPS (National Park Service) on Friday, September 6th met with area volunteers at the Meadview community center and provided a recap of the busy summer season. Meadview is well-known for its high rate of volunteerism and community pride.

Additionally, there was a short training session for volunteers after the meeting at the historic Meadview Ranger Station regarding proper methods for pruning native vegetation in the LMNRA (Lake Mead National Recreation Area.).

World Trade Center attack remembered on anniversary

We’ve reached the 23rd anniversary of use of aircraft by terrorists to bring down the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center (WTC) in New York City on Sept. 11, 2001. Two commercial jet planes struck the towers, causing their collapse and the destruction of four other WTC buildings.
