Kingman Police Department announces new office hours

Based upon a successful pilot program with the fire administration and engineering department to expand hours of service, the Kingman Police Department, beginning Monday, April 22, will begin a Monday through Thursday work week, closed on Fridays.  The lobby will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  It is hoped that this will provide the public more convenient access before and after regular work hours.   Police and emergency services will not be affected by the change in hours of operation.  As always, an after-hours phone is available in the lobby of the police department that provides instant access to…

Annual Street Sealing Program starts Monday in Lake Havasu City

As part of the annual effort to keep roads in good condition, Lake Havasu City is starting its annual pavement preservation efforts on Monday, April 15, which is expected to last four weeks. Approximately 650,000 square yards of polymer-modified chip seal surface is placed on approximately 30 miles of streets and parking lots in various locations of the city. Friday and Saturday, April 5 and 6, the Hope City (HC) Youth ministry and youth group of Kingman traveled to Mesa to participate in KidCon19. KidCon19 is a one-of-a-kind experience where kids can encounter God in an unforgettable way. KidCon is held at Without Walls Church and was created for kids from kindergarten through sixth grades. McIntire arrested for alleged child abuse

A Kingman man allegedly used multiple instruments to strike his teenage son during a disciplinary session. Deputy Police Chief Rusty Cooper said a school resource officer began investigating when it was discovered that a 13-year-old middle school student had suffered bruising and welts on his lower body.    Cooper said 30-year-old Kenneth Thomas McIntire allegedly struck the victim with a belt, a section of PVC pipe and a metal broom handle.
