Stockton Hill Road Update

Crews completed all of the waterline testing and we are awaiting regulatory approval from the state. Next week crews will be doing miscellaneous concrete work throughout the project and will begin prepping areas for final tie ins. The traveling public will see small work zones set up as they work on these items. Construction on the culvert is progressing well, and crews switched traffic control to the other side of Stockton Hill Road to begin working on the west side. CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT SET FOR MAY 4

River Cities United Way is hosting its 10th annual Golf Tournament at Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course in Kingman on Saturday, May 4th. This fundraising event is open to the public with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m.   4-Man Scramble at $80 per participant will include 18 holes, golf cart, and pulled pork lunch.  A payout is the top two teams and the highest score prize.  There will be raffle prizes, and a 50/50 drawing. Ribbon Cutting for Newly-Remodeled City Council Chambers

After nearly two years of contracting with the county for use of their facilities, the Kingman City Council is returning to its newly-remodeled council chambers, April 16, 2019. The ribbon cutting will take place at 5:15 p.m., located at 310 North 4th Street, immediately before the work session begins. For the Luv of Paws Domestic Animal Rescue & Sanctuary in collaboration with the Kingman PetCo will host an Easter egg hunt and photo opportunity for dogs. The event will be held at the Kingman Petco on Sunday, April 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring your dog to hunt for eggs filled with treats, find special eggs, and win prizes! Police searching for bank robber

Police have distributed surveillance system images of a suspect who robbed a Bullhead City bank Friday. They show a white male entering the Mission Bank branch at 1455 Palma Way at about 9:30 a.m.   Police say the man who wore a beanie, mask, dark shirt and jeans told a bank teller he had a gun. The bandit fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, leaving the scene in a silver passenger vehicle.   No one was hurt in the robbery.   Anyone with information is asked to call the Bullhead City police department (928-763-1999).

AZGFD warns of possible rabies exposure as temperatures warm

Spring has sprung, temperatures are trending upward and people and pets are on the move outdoors — that means potential exposure to rabies will be on the increase.
