Natalie Dawn is a five-year old Kingman resident, was diagnosed with stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma in February 2016. A year ago, in June 2018 Natalie relapsed. Natalie and her family have spent much of their time in New York, where her primary doctor specializes in neuroblastoma. Arizona’s boating season is here and the Arizona Game and Fish Department is helping watergoers prepare for a safe time on the water by offering multiple life jacket exchange events in the coming weeks.  Now in its 11th year, the Life Jacket Exchange program allows people with an old, worn out life jacket to swap it for a new one (while supplies last). Last year, the department’s Boating Safety Education program exchanged 1,520 of the life-saving jackets. A memorial walkway, which extends under the famously relocated London Bridge, will now feature bricks honoring the service of the legendary World War II Navajo Code Talkers. At 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, the Havasu Freedom Foundation will unveil 33 bricks along the walkway dedicated to the instrumental work of the code talkers; however, only 29 bricks will bear names as national historians continue to research the backgrounds of four additional military members involved in the once top-secret military program.
